Davanti Enoteca - San Diego: A Rustic Italian Retreat for Memorable Dining

Personally this place was not my favorite. I cannot say I would recommend this place, but it was not bad. Ordered bread, pasta, and pizza. All of them weren’t super good for me to recommend to someone! It was just ok. I ordered a pasta that was $30, but I had a bite and did not eat more and my bf ate it all. We also ordered a pizza, but it was a little bit salty to me to enjoy it. But my boyfriend said it was one of the best pizzas he had So if you are curious, won’t be bad to try.

This is hands down the best breakfast, brunch whatever you want to call it experience I've ever had!!!. The steak and eggs are extremely delicious! Their Espresso Martini was so delicious and smooth. It's literally my favorite place for breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays. It's across from this place called Toasted, but that is just too crowded, and honestly, they can't compare to the service you will get here at Davanti Enoteca! I will be back here every weekend!

Great restaurant with awesome vibe. The squid is very soft and tender. I like facing the fireplace and watching sunset. They are super crowded on Friday nights.

We came to Davanti Enoteca to celebrate an engagement, and everything was absolutely perfect! From the moment we arrived, George and the entire staff made us feel so welcome. They graciously accommodated our party of 10 and made sure everything ran smoothly. Every dish we ordered was delicious — you can really tell they put care into their food and service. George was incredibly attentive, friendly, and professional, making our special night even better. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend for any occasion!

It was our first time here at this resto and we had a wonderful experience. They had a well designed interior and it has a rustic village Italian feel to it. We had the famous foccacia bread with cheese and honeycomb and pasta and it was superb. We'll definitely come back and recommend to our friends and family.

Heading to the Belly Up Tavern for a show and Davanti Enoteca was on the way. It's unlikely we'll return. Granted, we're not far from the coast, so elevated prices are expected, but $19 for spaghetti noodles with oil, cheese and pepper? Long story short... my wife and I both got pasta dishes. I added sausage, she added shrimp. She had a martini, I had a glass of very sour house red. (Tip... Spend the extra few bucks for something else. And yes, house reds are often very good). The restaurant is ensconced in a mall, but they do a decent job of making you feel like it's not. If the food were stellar, the price would be more palatable. But $90+ (with tip) for the above described meal? Not worth it, in my book.

Incredible. My recent visit to Davanti Enoteca in Del Mar was nothing short of outstanding. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and well cared for, thanks in large part to Liz, who was an exceptional host. Her warmth and attention to detail made the experience feel so personal, and she went above and beyond. Now, the food—wow. The homemade pasta was simply phenomenal, crafted with obvious skill and bursting with fresh, rich flavors. It’s clear that Davanti Enoteca takes pride in both the ingredients they choose and the care they put into each dish. The ambiance was cozy yet elegant, creating the ideal setting for an intimate and memorable dinner.
